Villa Fichtenhof in Schierke

The food was delicious. As a family we had three different dishes and they were all great. Big compliments to the kitchen. We were also very satisfied with the service and the atmosphere.

You don't think there is a restaurant here. But a sign on the local road offered various dishes. We had to search the driveway a bit and then swing over a construction site to the venerable villa. The ambience looks a bit old-fashioned outside as well as inside and exudes a morbid charm, which definitely has something. A very elderly, friendly lady served us and we felt warmly received and comfortable. The lunch menu is relatively clear. We opted for the venison goulash with apple red cabbage and dumplings, which was very tasty overall. Small blemish, in the goulash there were still one or the other bones and unfortunately both dumplings were sometimes not completely through. By the way, there is no draft beer at lunchtime either, this is reserved for evening guests. Overall still worth a visit, if the evening is probably the better time.

Totally quaint restaurant Regional meat dishes

You feel like family. Still very good hotel standard. Kitchen absolutely great. Even unusual requests for special regional cuisine were fulfilled. Thanks to the all-round boss and of course to the entire team. We recommend.

A very, very nice house, great nice condition, very great food, and the price is cheap. There are children's plates as well as plates for senior citizens. so people go there take your time. it is very nice there 100% recommendation 👍😘😘

In Schierke we went to different restaurants several times during our vacation. Villa Fichtenhof clearly has the best cook! Each of us had 3 courses and everything was great, very tasty and exceptional. The wine on offer was also better than in the other restaurants. We'd love to come back anytime if it stays that way.

Very rustic and lovingly furnished warm conditions with young support. Food is clear and well prepared. The Thuringian dumplings were not homemade and the sauce was very clear.

I am very impressed with the food at Hotel Fichtenhof, as it was prepared with a love of handicraft. The drink selection is also appealing. If in doubt, the wait staff will be happy to help. This place is my recommendation for Schierke.

Best meal we've ever eaten in a restaurant. We ate there several evenings and the meat, whether deer, wild boar or pheasant, was tender as butter. The starters were great and everything was well seasoned. The dessert, in my case the iced Schierker flint mousse, was something special and very delicious. The owners were incredibly friendly and extremely personable. The old villa exudes a beautiful charm and the background music was great. We are seriously considering taking a short vacation in town again for the food alone, but of course also for the beautiful area, probably directly in the villa 😊

Very loving greeting. We went for lunch on 08/09/20. It was very tasty and inexpensive. We also had a very good chat with the boss about the present and the past.

We visited the restaurant. The villa from the Empire with subsequent use in the Democratic Republic is well traced. A really quaint place. The meal was excellent. The service is nice, friendly and competent. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Princely summer residence, SED rest home and since 1996 hotel with excellent restaurant. There is still a little bit of nostalgia in the interior. Anyone who just wants to have some peace and quiet, without communication, is in good hands here. Schierke is a radio hole and the WLAN in the house works only in the restaurant, where a separate lounge is reserved for hotel guests.

Four stars at the second glance Actually, the Villa Fichtenhof eludes any rating, so much is it from the time. If you enter the restaurant on a dull day, the eye first has to get used to the frugal light. In the room a few large tables are distributed so that you feel unobserved and undisturbed by others. However, you have to get used to the furniture before it unfolds its charm. The menu is narrow but the dishes are very good. If no more meals are available at lunchtime after a vivacious eve, it suggests that the food is freshly prepared. We had porcini mushrooms with bread roll and wild goulash, originally with red cabbage, but on request also with porcini mushrooms. For goulash there was a second serving of sauce. You do not have that everywhere. Unfortunately we could not make use of the luscious wine list at noon.

It is a quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Simple rooms. Breakfast is, except for the rolls, quite good. Great for kids. Unfortunately you do not always have toilet paper in the rooms, too bad.
